Fleet Technologies, Inc, (FTI), is a privately held, small business focusing on Information Technology and Engineering. Information technology, particularly computer-related, has changed dramatically in recent years, and so, too, has our company. FTI today serves the information technology markets of the 21st century, based largely on the experiences and capabilities acquired during FTI’s 20 years in business, but no longer limited to fleet and transportation industries that dominated our early years.

FTI’s products include our own proprietary software programs, custom program development, information systems design, project management, implementation support, and related consulting services.

FTI engineers its software products and systems with one simple goal: effective delivery of information. The objectives and results of the delivery vary greatly among our many applications, from enhancing a marketing presence to streamlining paperwork to running entire departments.

Fleet Technologies, Inc. (FTI)

Founded in 1981, Fleet Technologies, Inc. quickly became a major player in implementing fleet maintenance systems for the transportation industry. FTI was one of the first companies formed specifically to bring information management technologies and expert systems into the commercial fleet market.

FTI expanded to provide consulting and design services to large corporate clients in the fields of financing for leased fleets, maintenance systems for shop floor control, readiness assessments, systems integration and software installation services, training, implementation support services, re-engineering, and benchmarking.

Over the years, FTI has experienced the transition from mainframe systems to minicomputers, PC-based systems, client server systems, and web-based systems, gaining valuable experience in such specialties as database design, expert systems, database auditing techniques, multiple hardware platforms, user interface design, and software development. In recent years, products and services incorporated the various advances of the electronic age as they arose, including bar coding integration, encryption, multimedia, html, xml, and the Internet.

As FTI’s skills, resources, and product offerings grew, our project list began to include clients and services that were not necessarily focused in the fleet industry. We often refer to the company as "FTI" to minimize any limits our full name might impose as we continue to grow the business.

FTI Today

FTI’s resources are focused on applying information technology to solve business problems. Our foundation, implementing complex fleet maintenance systems, remains strong. We've added products and services that deal with other aspects of business as well including marketing and operations. Our software development projects run the gamut from standalone PC applications to complete Internet site development.

We make it a priority to do more than simply write code. We have the software engineering and systems design talent as well as domain experience in operations, deployment, installation, support, and project management.
