The following image illustrates the configuration screen that the product uses to create XML configuration files and launch the replication procedure.

Using this form, you can select a database, the database tables to replicate, the direction of replication, whether or not timed processing is required for the selected database table, and the update key fields. Once this information is configured, you can save the configuration to an XML file on disk, and start replicating data.

This product does not support replication of database objects, such as queries, tables, and reports. Only basic data collection is supported at this time. Database object replication, update logic, and delete logic will be implemented in future releases of this product.

Using this tool, we are able to configure an application that runs on separate machines in a network in minutes, rather than hours. Data imports are not required at the master database location. And Access Replication is not used, so no mailboxes are required.

Also, the ActiveX DLL can be referenced by your custom application, if you prefer to use your own application to replicate the data, rather than the configuration and management tool.
